As reported here, Eric Rudolph is going to plead guilty. What do you guys think? Does he deserve the death penalty? (His guilty plea is going to save him from the needle, by the way.)
I, as usual, say lock him up in a tiny room and don't let him out ever again. Let him sit in silence thinking about what he has done. Make sure he has no books, no Television, no radio, no board games, no pencil, no paper, and no one to talk to. Make sure he spends the rest of his life in such a fashion that his only possible activity is thinking about those he has harmed and killed. Let him really live with it. That's always a better option than execution. That's a real punishment.
