Think about this...

Forty-nine percent (49%) of Americans say that President Bush is more responsible for starting the War with Iraq than Saddam Hussein. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that 44% take the opposite view and believe Hussein shoulders most of the responsibility.

More people believe George Bush is responsible for the war than Saddam Hussein.

Kos has more, including a link to the poll.

  1. Sometimes you surprise even me with your ridiculous rhetoric. Statistics are like bikinis, they show everything except what counts. And after all, journalists from the New York Times are never wrong.
Go back to the drawing board and come back with a few arguments that rely on something else besides opinion polls that fluxuate on a daily basis.

Seems like a no brainer. The Administration launched a "preemptive war" then the justification for preemption (WMD)was subsequently discredited. All evidence of this has not been refuted. Case closed.

  3. Rum-sot,

I could be silly, but I'm far removed from boyhood. You have a misconception that justification for war has some relation to State of Union speaches. If that were the case any leader in any country (even Saddam's invasions) would have justification.

There are laws which we are signatories to, the U.N. and Nuremberg Charters. Our current perversions of these have left our former allies to abandon our abject course.
