No kidding. That guy has issues, but I recommend therapy before meds. I mean, what's wrong with retaining a few of the remaining civil liberties? At least someone is fighting for them
I know I sleep better at night knowing the ACLU is out there defending my liberties. Why, just the other day that noble gathering of 'scholars' attacked that vile hate group The Boyscouts of America in claiming that it was a violation of the establishment clause to give them federal aide since they have a clause in their oath referring to God. (no I am not kidding, yes it is as rediculous as it sounds, and I hope you're picking up on my sarcasm because I'm laying it on pretty thick). So perhaps the dude writing the blog you're talking about does need to be on meds, but hopefully they'll be enough left over for the wack jobs running the ACLU.
On second thought you're right! I also sleep better at night knowing that my tax dollars won't be spent on an organization that makes a point of being openly hostile to any child you doesn't share their particular view of God.
Those little heathens won't earn any merit badges for going to heaven.
Also, my taxes had had better not go to gay Scout Masters... The world might explode if that were to happen...
Being a Brit, I'm not familiar with the ACLU -- weren't they, according to Jerry Falwell, the ones responsible for 9/11? Or was it Susan B. Anthony? (Her name sounds a bit like 'Osama bin Laden', after all.) So much far-right bull these days it's hard to keep track...
Yes, the Boy and Girl Scouts with their cookies bake sales and camping trips and 'open hostility' towards non-religious people. They're like a modern day Inquisition.

ReplyDeleteSeriously... the irony is that the ACLU would defend his right to say these things about them if the government tried to prevent it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a whack job.
