Who the heck asked this question?

From today's White House Press Briefing:

QUESTION: Considering the widespread interest and the absolutely frantic Democrat reaction to Karl Rove's excellent speech to conservatives last month, does the president hope that Karl will give a lot more speeches?

MCCLELLAN: He continues to give speeches.

He was traveling this weekend talking about the importance of strengthening Social Security. And he's continued to go out and give speeches.

Everybody wants to know if Karl is being fired and/or going to prison and someone actually asked the question above?

Is Jeff Gannon back?

  1. I wondered exactly that myself- thought of course it mus tbe the fox news guy, but no, even Carl asked about Rove.

Came to your site via the Larry Johnson article. You so brilliantly articulated everything i've been thinking. It's shocking how many people don't even know what PNAC is. What we need is an expose outing all of this stuff to the public- in words they can understand. Carry on, oh wayward son!

  2. Just a thought, could it be that this reporter was trying to ask in a circuitous way, whether or not the White House still has confidence in Rove – that is if Rove is still making speeches, then Bushco must still have confidence in him. On the other hand, describing the Democrats as being “absolutely frantic” and Rove’s speech as “excellent” does sound like the ass-kissing type questions of the “Gannon” category.

By the way, I found your blog through the Randi Rhodes message board and I wanted to thank you again for all your work on the DSM timeline.
